nice

stylish, simple, elegant. nice composition! the chairs are placed really well, most 3d artists would just say, duplicate, move x 1.2 done. but the little bit of extra work really helps this piece feel more real. my only complaint is that it's a little grainy, did you use raytrace? maybe turn up the quality a bit. other than that perfect!

<deleted> responds:

The grain is actually post-work, but I guess I added too much :d

wait...

so did you make the model? or get it from some game? because it you made it i need to know how you made her left knee look so good! if not then... did you pose it? why post it here? anyway... if you did make the model, excellent job, if not you should probably not post it.

Gut-Drinker responds:

YES I DID MAKE THE MODEL, what do u mean why does the knee look so good? i used a biped in 3ds max, and yes i did pose it ( moved the limbs on the biped)im not trying to be nasty, my bro read my comment and he said im being nasty, hahaha.....i cant really see what im expressing when typing .....sorry, thanks for the seven XD

really nice!

I really enjoy looking at this city! my favorite part has to be the shape of the lights. most people think of lights in cities as lots of little pinpricks from individual square windows, however you really captured a more realistic feel with the rectangular windows. Also the colors are really good. the purple and orange lights go together really well. i also like how the water is mostly undefined. there isn't a definitive boundary and, while ordinarily that would be bad, it looks amazing in this picture. the only thing i can find wrong with it is the moon, it seems a little too sharp. I am not sure exactly how you made it, but it looks almost cut out. maybe a bit of blur could help that. other than that though great job!

BenTibbetts responds:

Thanks very much! I'll see what I can do about blurring up the moon a bit.

wow!

once again your art is just perfection. I really like this piece especially, because it is not only amazingly detailed and fun to look at, but just looking at it you can tell that you didn't go way overboard. for example the rooftops of the cabins, especially the far ones are the perfect balance between detailed and not. they look realistic without looking photorealistic. i could look at this all day!

AlvinHew responds:

So glad you like it! Thanks for the review.

very nice b movie poster!

sweet concept! i am trying to submit something but cant seem to think of a good enough idea. anyway, back to yours... the only thing i would change if you could would be to maybe change the text to "they told us that pluto wasn't a planet... we never should have believed them." i also really like the font. what font is it? great poster overall!

Aetolon responds:

I prefer my text because it sort off implies that "we were wrong", "inferior" etc, but also because Pluto still wouldn't be a planet, whether they believed it or not.
The name of the font is "Nasalization" btw.

Amazing!

as usual your art blows me away. the line art in this piece is truly amazing! I especially like the animal head on the front. the many windows and roofs on the ship give a feeling of life and busyness to the piece as well as the vibrant colors. the background also is amazing and fits very well with the ship. Well done!

Kamikaye responds:

Hey thanks man :) The animal head was more of a filler first in the sketch but it seems that it worked out well :D

very nice!

the actual model is very good! the skin is shaded very well and the hands are very well modeled and as a 3d animator i really understand how hard that is to get right. the only thing that i could suggest is to use a hair shader on the ground to make grass and also to be carful about the size of your base plane and how it connects to the sky. it is pretty obvious that he is not on a continuous background. other than that great job! i will have to try to make a model of bitey as well he looks like a lot of fun.

Manuel-Dangelo responds:

In fact I didn't even try to fit the base with the back ground. when I make serious renders I tend to affect the ground with a "noise" effect plus adding the green "fur" for the grass. the thing is that all that work for a basic model would be a waste.
Ones I have the bones in place I'll start working on poses, lights and adding some foliage to the behavior so it looks like a real 3D scene.

awesome art!

the blurb and the title combined really makes the drawing that much better. the whole thing is amazing!

zigan responds:

thanks :)

amazing use of shading on the main dwarf!

love the whole idea of this picture but my favorite part by far is the dwarf in front.

Kamikaye responds:

thx , the idea is on JAZZA though ;)

whenever i take multiple choice tests i always feel like i need to answer 3 d, even if it's wrong.
